Mission Statement
The International Society for Proteinopathies (ISP) is dedicated to advancing the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of protein misfolding diseases. Our mission is to:
-
Advance Research – Promote basic, clinical, technological, and translational research to uncover the molecular and pathological processes behind protein misfolding disorders.
-
Be a Trusted Resource – Serve as a reliable source of information on diseases caused by protein misfolding.
-
Share Knowledge – Facilitate the exchange of discoveries and ideas through our annual conference and the Society’s online platforms.
-
Foster Collaboration – Encourage interdisciplinary partnerships that connect diverse scientific and technological fields related to protein misfolding, polymerization, and aggregation.
-
Drive Innovation – Support efforts to better understand the causes of protein misfolding and to develop novel diagnostic tools, therapies, and other approaches for identifying, preventing, and treating these disorders.
